Tri-State Wrestling at The Hall

2024 Season Debut

February 17, 2024

The Hall at Knights of Columbus

Batesville, Indiana

Match 1: Justin “Pac Man” Xavier defeated “The Closer” Jarett Diaz via pinfall

These two young stars had an action-packed back-and-forth match, with Xavier emerging with the win thanks to a springboard cutter.

Match 2: “The Academic Standard” GPA defeated Brayden Lee via pinfall

This match proved to be a great technical battle, with Lee’s amateur wrestling background and GPA’s grappling experience. GPA worked on Lee’s arm throughout the match, but the native Hoosier kept battling back. Unfortunately for him, all the work GPA did on Brayden’s left arm prevented a couple of high impact moves and The Academic Standard was able to sneak away with a win thanks to a cradle for a pin.

Match 3: “The Good Witch” Kaia McKenna defeated “The Big Flexer” Alexis Littlefoot via pinfall

Littlefoot was looking to make a big splash in her TSW debut and shined early with some hard-hitting moves while boasting to the Batesville crowd. But McKenna was able to summon the strength to make a comeback and move to 3-0 in her TSW career after hitting her signature Black Cauldron Bomb.

Match 4: “The Young GOAT” Myron Reed defeated JDX via pinfall

The match between these two rivals had been brewing since last August when JDX first debuted in TSW at the Raider Rumble and went straight for Reed, with the two eliminating themselves from the Rumble and continuing their fight backstage. JDX stalled briefly at first before the action became hot and heavy. Each man landed plenty of high impact moves and scored several near pinfalls. JDX attempted to use powder to blind Myron when the ref was distracted, but Reed saw it coming and hit his Flame On cutter followed by a Captain Crunch driver for the win.

After the match, Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Tre’ Lamar emerged from the back to stare down Reed, taunting his former friend with the title. With Reed distracted, JDX attacked from behind, giving him and Lamar the opportunity to double team Reed. The two set up a chair around Reed’s neck in an attempt to cause some serious injury, but fortunately Matt Diesel emerged from the back with a chair of his own to chase the duo away.

Match 5: Damian Chambers defeated Tyler Lee Deputy via pinfall

Chambers didn’t wait for the match to officially start, jumping the Deputy from behind before the bell to gain an early advantage. Tyler fought hard to try and get back on top, but Chambers was too much and continued his strong run in TSW by finishing the Deputy with his Darkness Falls slam.

Match 6: The Hype (Hunter Holdcraft & 12 Gaige) defeated The Tragedy Bois (Gaston LaRue & Percy Drews) via pinfall

The Tragedy Bois had the third member of their group, Saturn Price, at ringside, getting involved in some instances to help them try and gain an advantage. But The Hype worked smooth together in their first outing in TSW as a tag team, winning this exciting tag match with a pair of double team moves to the cheers of the crowd.

Match 7: Tre’ Lamar defeated “No Limit” Matt Diesel via pinfall to retain the TSW Heavyweight Championship

Diesel came into this match on a roll and had the added incentive of looking to get revenge against Lamar for what he did to Matt’s mentor, Myron Reed. The young star went after the TSW champ hard, with Lamar barely surviving the early onslaught. Lamar’s experience and talent took over, controlling a good portion of the match, with Diesel continuing to fight back and refusing to go down. Frustrated, Lamar tried to use a chair on Diesel, but the referee – Batesville’s own Luck E. Haskins – stopped him. As Haskins went to put the chair back, Lamar tried to use his title on Diesel, but the young challenger instead hit Tre with a DDT on the belt. However, instead of trying a pin right away, Diesel went to try and finish it off with a move from the top, but was stopped by JDX, who suddenly appeared from the back. As the referee tried to get JDX to leave, Lamar used the title to smash Diesel in the face before hitting his Dream Chaser brainbuster for the win to retain the title.

Following the match, Lamar and JDX showed there was no question they were working together, as the pair once again joined forces to double team Diesel in the ring. This time it was Reed coming out to save Diesel, despite his own injuries from the early beatdown. Reed took down both Lamar and JDX, sending a message that he’s not finished with either of them yet.

Tri-State Wrestling presents LEGENDS OF THE FALL

2023 Season Finale

September 9, 2023

Fitton Center for Creative Arts

Hamilton, Ohio

Match 1: “The Anime Assault” Solo defeated Sam Aljahmi via pinfall

These two youngsters went back and forth for much of the match, with both wrestlers trying to make their mark. Aljahmi seemed to do most of his damage in the grappling game, while Solo showed plenty of aerial moves. With Aljahmi in control late, Solo was able to escape a suplex attempt and fold up his opponent in a mouse trap pin for the victory.

Match 2: Nikeem the Dream vs. “The Viral One” Millz Hendrix went to a no contest due to interference by Isaiah Broner

Nikeem and Hendrix wowed the crowd early athletic moves that ended in a stalemate. The two appeared to be on their way to a very entertaining match when the debuting Broner suddenly came out from the back. The big man entered the ring and immediately dropped both men with a double clothesline. Broner took a mic and claimed that since no one had accepted his open challenge, he was going to punish Nikeem and Hendrix. While the two men rushed him to stun the intruder briefly, Broner was able to fight them off and left both men laying with a series of power moves.

Next up, Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Tre’ Lamar came out to the ring. Lamar acknowledged comments he’s been hearing from fans about cashing in on Myron Reed in July. The champion said he did what anyone else would do and he would say the same to Reed’s face if he was there tonight, alluding to the fact that both Reed and JDX had been suspended by TSW management after their backstage brawl at the Raider Rumble in August. Lamar went on to say that he had good news and bad news for the fans – good news that at an upcoming Courage Pro Wrestling show in Canada he would be defending the TSW belt to make it a true World Heavyweight Championship. The bad news? Because of how important that was, he would not be putting the TSW title on the line that night.

That brought out Lamar’s opponent for the night, Stephen Wolf, who pointed out that Tre’ needed to worry less about any future show and more about “The Wolf of Wrestling” that night. And not only that but the fans in Hamilton deserved to have the title on the line and that if Tre’ was any kind of champion, he would stay true to his word and not take the coward’s way out. Lamar reluctantly agreed to keep the title on the line but said Wolf would have to wait until later for the match when the champ was ready.

Match 3: “The Firestarter” Jake Crist and Justin “Pac Man” Xavier defeated Alpha Zeta Zeta via submission

Xavier was back again teaming up with his new mentor Crist, this time against the Alpha Zeta Zeta crew trying to bounce back from their August loss. The fan favorites were in control early before the Alpha Zeta Zeta team was able to send Xavier crashing off the top when attempting a high-risk move. Austin Adams and Hanz Carden used their chemistry to work over Xavier but Pac Man refused to go down and finally made the tag to Crist. “The Firestarter” was hot out of the gates with an onslaught of moves to put the Alpha Zeta Zeta boys on their heels. However, Xavier tagged himself back in to Crist’s surprise and almost put his team on the losing end as he was still recovering. But Crist was able to get back in and secure the sharpshooter on Carden for the submission win.

Match 4: Blake “Money” Wright defeated Dutch Platinum via pinfall

Platinum was a late replacement for Storm Grayson and put Wright on notice early in the match. Wright, the self-proclaimed No. 1 draft pick of pro wrestling, managed to get the advantage and worked over Platinum against the ropes. Dutch was able to turn the tide, earning a near fall with a high cross body. But Wright was able to bounce back and hit his running knee strike known as the No. 1 Knee for the win.

Match 5: Damian Chambers defeated “Infinite” Eli Isom via pinfall

These two talented stars worked each other over with some grappling to start before Isom’s athleticism put Chambers on the run early. But Chambers went to work on Isom’s knee to try and ground his athletic opponent. Once Isom was able to get his second wind, he went into overdrive on offense with several exciting and explosive moves. However, he was unable to put Chambers away despite his best efforts. When Isom’s knee flared up attempting a top rope move, Chambers seized his opening and went back on offense, leading to an ushigoroshi followed by a single-leg crab on the injured knee before Isom barely reached the ropes. Isom valiantly fought back with the two men exchanging strikes and chops. The finish came when Isom and Chambers went back and forth on a series of roll-ups and pin attempts that led to Chambers getting the win.

Match 6: “The Perminator” Sam Beale & “No Limit” Matt Diesel defeated VsK and GPA via pinfall

This grudge match was set up in the fallout from August’s Raider Rumble, as these four men were the final four in the Rumble match. Beale stood strong for his team early, fighting off both VsK and GPA. Diesel was able to get his hands on his new rival VsK as well, looking to prove he belongs with the best of TSW. But the veteran pair of VsK and GPA were able to turn the tables on their young opponents, cutting off Diesel in the ring for an extended period of time. Diesel was finally able to tag his partner in and Beale ran wild on his two opponents, nearly pinning VsK with a vicious spinebuster. GPA was able to hit his Cram Session finisher on Beale but Diesel made the save by pushing VsK back into the pin attempt. All four men ended up battling in the ring, trading fists and forearms. Both sides narrowly missed winning with near falls. The match appeared over when Diesel and Beale worked together to hit a Doomsday Device on GPA but VsK managed to pull the referee to the outside. Finally, VsK misfired on a superkick and hit GPA by mistake, leading to Diesel hitting GPA with a fireman’s carry into a spike slam for the huge win.

Match 7: “The Wolf of Wrestling” Stephen Wolf defeated Tre’ Lamar via disqualification (Lamar retains the Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Championship)

Lamar tried to stall a couple of times to begin the match, with Wolf outwrestling him on the mat to start. Wolf took the fight to the champ on the outside, with the crowd getting behind him echoing his wolf howl. Lamar took control after tripping up Wolf on the ropes and hitting a running dropkick that sent the challenger slamming against the wall behind the ring. The champ worked over Wolf from there, with Stephen fighting back and Lamar cutting him off again each time to stay on top. After countering one of Lamar’s top rope moves with a dropkick, Wolf went back on the attack with a series of strikes and a couple of near falls that almost netted him the championship. The action continued back and forth, with Lamar at one point almost getting a submission win by putting Wolf in a Lion Tamer-style submission that put tremendous pressure on the challenger’s neck. Both men ended up on the outside after several more high impact moves. Wolf made it back inside at nine but Lamar decided to drop back to the floor rather than get back in and take the countout.

Wolf immediately grabbed a mic and called out Tre for taking the out on a technicality to keep the belt. After Wolf continued to call him a coward, Lamar climbed back in the ring and agreed to restart the match. However, just as the bell sounded to restart, Lamar stepped forward and kicked Wolf with a low blow blatantly in front of the referee, who had no choice but to call for the bell again as a disqualification. But as Lamar went to exit, Sam Beale and Matt Diesel re-emerged from the back and tossed him back in the ring, where Wolf had recovered to hit a final slam on Lamar. The three fan favorites stood tall to end the show, with Lamar clutching his title as he headed to the back.

Match 1: “The Perminator” Sam Beale won the Raider Rumble to earn a TSW Heavyweight Title Match later in the show

This match was operated “Royal Rumble” style with a new competitor entering every 2 minutes. Early on, former TSW Heavyweight Champion VsK was the star, eliminating several wrestlers. Myron Reed entered sixth and battled with VsK before new TSW star JDX debuted at No. 7 and immediately went after Reed in what would continue throughout the match. Young stars 12 Gaige and Hunter Holdcraft teamed up to throw a couple of opponents out, showing signs of their tag team chemistry. Midway through the match, Reed and JDX eliminated each other before continuing their fight to the back. The final four came down to Sam Beale, GPA, VsK and Matt Diesel. The young Diesel continued his budding rivalry with VsK by eliminating the former champ. Frustrated, VsK illegally re-entered the ring and ended up eliminating Diesel before officials tried to break things up between the two. After a little back-and-forth, Beale manages to dump GPA and earn the title shot.

Match 2: Kaia McKenna defeated Arie Alexander via submission

The two ladies shared a handshake to start, with a bit of feeling out at the beginning. After trading chops early and some grappling, Alexander took over with her suplex offense. McKenna showed a bit of a mean streak getting back on top and after Alexander was able to escape a couple of times, she ultimately had to submit to a chicken wing from the “Good Witch.”

Match 3: “The Firestarter” Jake Crist defeated Damian Chambers via pinfall to retain the Wrestling Revolver World Championship

These two Ohio-born rivals went toe to toe from the opening bell, as Crist was putting his Wrestling Revolver title on the line. Neither man was able to gain an advantage early until Chambers was able to trip Crist up on the apron before he could hit a moonsault to the outside. Despite working over the champion with plenty of offense, Chambers couldn’t quite polish Crist off. With the crowd behind him, Crist was able to make the comeback and hit a Crist cutter before putting Chambers in a sharpshooter. Chambers barely was able to make the ropes to break the hold and even hit his patented ushigoroshi move for a close two count. A shocked Chambers tried to follow up with a superkick but Crist ducked and used a backslide for the sudden pinfall.

Match 4: The Premier defeated Alpha Zeta Zeta via pinfall

Campbell Myers and SK Bishop of The Premier arrived in Kansas City Chiefs garb, much to the chagrin of the Bengals fans in the audience. Austin Adams and Hanz Carden of Alpha Zeta Zeta were making their TSW debuts here, and the Premier gave them a rude welcome by attacking them from behind before the bell to start the match. The frat boys were able to bounce back with a few double team moves to get back on track. However, with Myers distracting the ref, Bishop was able to get a cheap shot on Carden in the corner to give the Premier the advantage again. But Carden was able to withstand the punishment and finally made a tag to Adams, who came in as the fresh man and took out the Premier with a series of clotheslines and high impact moves. The action picked up even more, with all four men battling in the ring and to the outside. After Carden almost picked up the win with a rollup on Bishop, Myers landed a forearm to Hanz behind the ref’s back allowing Bishop to roll him up and use his feet on the ropes to steal a win.

Match 5: Tre’ Lamar defeated “The Perminator” Sam Beale via pinfall to retain the TSW Heavyweight Championship

Lamar was making his first defense of the title coming off his controversial cash in at July’s “Do Or Die” show to win the belt from Myron Reed. The fan favorite Beale was on a roll early before the champion took control. As Beale made his comeback and seemed on the verge of a win, GPA re-emerged from the back to insert himself. Beale sent GPA packing with a right fist but Lamar was able to get the momentum back and eventually drop Beale with his signature brainbuster suplex for the win.

Tri-State Wrestling presents DO OR DIE

July 8, 2023

Fitton Center for Creative Arts

Hamilton, Ohio

Match 1: Tyler Lee Deputy defeated “Pretty Boy” Sam Aljahmi via pinfall

It was a back-and-forth contest to kick off the action, with Tyler Lee Deputy avoiding an Aljahmi attack in the corner before rolling him up for a pin in the Deputy’s TSW debut.

Match 2: GPA & Laynie Luck defeated Brian Pillman Jr. & Arie Alexander via pinfall

This intergender battle pitted the returning hometown star Pillman and his girlfriend Alexander against a couple with plenty of experience in tag action together in GPA and Luck. Throughout the match, GPA seemed to avoid Pillman whenever possible. After GPA and Luck had worked on Alexander for much of the contest, Pillman finally was able to tag in and make a comeback, narrowly missing a pin multiples times. But after GPA speared Arie to the mat, an angry Pillman chased him out of the ring, allowing Luck to pin Alexander for the win.

Match 3: Jake Crist defeated Vinny Pacifico via submission

Crist, the current Wrestling Revolver Champion, was accompanied to the ring by Bobby Olsen and Justin “Pac Man” Xavier, who has been taken under the wing of the veteran grappler as of late. Making his TSW debut, the East Coast star Pacifico stood toe to toe but Crist was able to emerge victorious after locking in a Sharpshooter.

Match 4: Matt Diesel defeated Storm Grayson and Eli Isom in a Triple Threat match via pinfall

This match was the show-stealer of the night, with all three competitors pulling out some of their best moves to try and get a win. Action went from inside the ring to the outside and even into the seats as each man came close to a victory. Late in the match, Grayson and Isom exchanged a flurry of punches and uppercuts before Grayson appeared to hit the winning move with a Blue Thunder bomb. But just as he pinned Isom to the mat, Diesel came swooping in with a swanton bomb off the top rope onto both men and then pinned Grayson for the victory.

Match 5: Blake “Money” Wright defeated Hunter Holdcraft via pinfall

Wright, the self-proclaimed top draft pick in wrestling, tried to out-wrestle Holdcraft early, but the former collegiate grappler outshined him. Instead, Wright took control with a cheap shot and despite a late comeback from the young Holdcraft, “Money” was able to pick up his first TSW win.

Match 6: “The Perminator” Sam Beale defeated “Handsome” Nick Hamrick via pinfall

Hamrick was making his TSW debut here, using the aid of his manager A. Dick Vickers to gain some control over Beale. But the fan favorite Perminator was not to be denied and picked up another big singles win to keep his hot run going.

Match 7: The Premier (Campbell Myers & SK Bishop defeated The Saint Brothers (Chase & Corey) via pinfall

Both teams were making their TSW debuts in this one, with The Premier quickly drawing the ire of the Hamilton fans. The Saint Brothers worked some unorthodox offense to try and gain an edge, but the more experienced and polished team of Myers and Bishop proved to be too much in the end.

Match 8: Myron Reed defeated VsK via pinfall to become the NEW Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion

TSW officials had billed this as Reed’s “last chance” to win the title from VsK, and both men were on a mission to leave as champion at the end of the day. VsK, TSW’s inaugural champion for more than 250 days, tried everything to keep the high-flying Reed grounded and put him away. But the multi-time MLW Middleweight Champion was undaunted, wowing the crowd with move after move and using everything in his arsenal. In the end, the “Young GOAT” was able to hit his springboard cutter off the top to finally earn the three count over VsK and the title.

After the match, as Reed celebrated his win, an angry VsK attacked him from behind. As the former champ took out his frustrations on the new title holder, Tre’ Lamar emerged from the back and slid into the ring, causing VsK to scurry away. Lamar helped Reed to his feet and joined the official in saluting Myron as the victor. However, Tre’s helpful act soon proved to be a ruse, as he laid Reed out in the ring with a shot from his backpack. The stunned crowd watched as Lamar opened his backpack and pulled out the poker chip he won at Ante Up in June, which earned him a TSW Heavyweight Title match at any time of his choosing. Lamar handed the chip to the referee and told him he was cashing in his opportunity right now.

Match 9: Tre’ Lamar defeated Myron Reed via pinfall to become the NEW Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion

As the official reluctantly called for the bell to start the match, Lamar immediately attacked Reed, who was still recovering from the combination of the prior match and attacks afterward. After an elbow off the top rope, Lamar went for a quick pin but Reed somewhat-surprisingly kicked out. The new champion wasn’t going to go down without a fight, getting in some offense of his own and narrowly missing his own pinfall win. But the fresh Lamar was just too much, eventually spiking Reed into the mat with a brainbuster suplex to get the win and take home the TSW gold.

Tri-State Wrestling presents ANTE UP

June 3, 2023

Lawrenceburg Event Center

Lawrenceburg, Indiana

Match 1: “Pac Man” Justin Xavier defeated “The Golden State God” Carson Drake via pinfall

Drake antagonized the crowd early on but was able to back up his talk for a while by taking the advantage. With the fans on his side, Xavier’s high-flying moves and athleticism were able to overcome and earn him the victory.

Match 2: Kaia McKenna defeated Kayla Kassidy via pinfall

Both ladies were making their TSW debuts, looking to make an impact early on. The contest was pretty even throughout, with neither competitor able to get a real advantage. McKenna finally took charge to pick up a win.

Match 3: Tre’ Lamar won the “Stack the Deck” Match to earn a Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Title shot at a time of his choosing over the next year.

This special gauntlet-style match consisted of five competitors randomly drawing cards to determine the order of entry. Sam Beale and Brayden Lee started things off, with Beale picking up the first victory. Next in was GPA, and Beale looked ready to take a second win in a row. However, “The Academic Standard” was able to use every trick up his sleeve to take out “The Perminator.” Tre’ Lamar was the fourth entrant and managed to fight off the veteran GPA to advance. The final entry as the “Joker” was “The Wolf of Wrestling” Stephen Wolf. He and Lamar went back and forth, with both men having an opportunity to win. Ultimately, Lamar was able to slide out of a suplex attempt and roll up Wolf to narrowly pick up the three count and the victory.

Match 4: Bobby Fish defeated Matt Cross via pinfall

These two veteran competitors had one of the hardest-hitting matches of the night. Fish used his technical and striking expertise to keep on the offensive, but Cross managed to get things going with some of his athletic moves. After a series of close calls for both men, Fish was able to steal a win using a handful of tights.

Match 5: “The Indy God” Matt Cardona defeated “The Firestarter” Jake Crist via DQ to retain the Squared Circle Expo Championship

Another matchup of two experienced stars, with the rejuvenated Crist going for Cardona’s gold. Crist started off strong before Cardona took control with some questionable tactics. The crowd got behind Jake to help drive his comeback, but Cardona kept finding ways to maintain the advantage. Late in the match, the referee took the brunt of one of Jake’s moves off the top rope when Cardona pulled the official in front of him. With the referee down, Cardona went for a chair under the ring but Crist’s manager Bobby Olsen intervened before being taken out by Cardona. Then, to everyone’s surprise Justin Xavier hit the ring to try and keep Cardona from using the weapon but he ended up eating the chair to the face as well. However, when Cardona finally went to use the chair on Crist, the veteran moved out of the way causing Cardona to hit the ropes with the chair, which ricocheted back into his face. With the champion dazed, Crist hit a back spin kick and went for the pin. A second referee hit the ring to count three, seemingly giving Crist the title. Unfortunately, a few moments later, the original official informed the ring announcer that Jake had been disqualified for the kick that put him down, keeping the title with Cardona.

Match 6: “The Young GOAT” Myron Reed defeated Dirty Dango via pinfall

This matchup of one of TSW’s top stars and the veteran Dango was a battle of styles, with Dango doing his best to keep Reed grounded during the match. After Dango had maintained control much of the way, Reed was able to put his talents on display and pick up his biggest win in TSW so far with his signature Flame On cutter.

Match 7: VsK defeated Carlito via pinfall to retain the Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Championship

The reigning champion VsK faced his stiffest test yet in the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Carlito and found a way to claim an allergy to apples. The member of the famous Colon family took the early advantage before VsK was able to work in some of his underhanded tactics to get some momentum. But nothing was able to get the job done, with Carlito coming back time and again. A frustrated VsK finally grabbed one of Carlito’s apples – revealing his “allergy” was a ruse – and spit the apple but instead of going in Carlito’s face, it went into the referee’s. With the official down, Carlito rolled up VsK for what should have been a three count. Then, when Carlito went to check on the official, VsK hit a blatant low blow from behind, which led to his victory. After the match, Carlito did get a measure of revenge by spitting an apple into the champion’s face to send the crowd home happy.

Tri-State Wrestling presents DOUBLE DOWN

May 13, 2023

Fitton Center for Creative Arts

Hamilton, Ohio

Match 1: “Pac Man” Justin Xavier defeated “The Viral One” Millz Hendrix via pinfall

These two athletic young athletes started the show off with a bang, showing off their aerial skills. After a back-and-forth contest, Xavier was able to get the win with a spinning back kick to spoil Hendrix’s TSW debut.

Match 2: Sam Beale defeated Blake “Money” Wright via pinfall

This was a hard-hitting affair between Beale and the former college football star Wright, who was appearing in TSW for the first time. “The Permanator” kept his roll going by earning the victory over Wright with his Perm-Roll finish.

Next, TSW broadcaster Joe Dombrowski brought out Tre’ Lamar to talk about all the speculation regarding his actions during the TSW Heavyweight Championship match at Squared Circle Expo in April. Lamar’s involvement in the match ended up allowing VsK to hit Myron Reed with the championship belt and earn the victory to retain his title. After entering the ring, Lamar stated that what happened was an accident and that he wanted to bring Myron out to apologize and bury the hatchet. Reed entered the ring as well and said despite how angry he was about Tre’ costing him the match, he’s willing to forgive him due to their history as friends and training partners. However, Myron stated that after this, he doesn’t want Tre’ to be involved in his business any longer. The two competitors shook hands to the appreciation of the crowd.

Match 3: GPA defeated 12 Gaige via pinfall

The veteran GPA took on another up-and-comer in 12 Gaige, who was returning after making his TSW debut in March. Gaige put “The Academic Standard” on his heels with some of his inventive offense, but GPA managed to regain control and hit the Straight-A for the win.

After the match, GPA helped 12 Gaige to his feet and shook his hand, seemingly giving the young man kudos for the match. Instead, it was the beginning of a sneak attack, as GPA clotheslined Gaige and began attacking him again. However, GPA received his own shock when the giant Erick Redbeard emerged from the back to the ring. GPA feigned fighting Redbeard before rolling outside. But before he could get away, 12 Gaige was there to send GPA right back inside, where Redbeard had his Claw Slam waiting. With GPA out on the mat, Redbeard and 12 Gaige celebrated with the cheering fans.

Match 4: “The Firestarter” Jake Crist with Bobby Olsen defeated “Certified” Luke Kurtis via pinfall

This contest was one of the matches of the night, with the veteran Crist taking on the former OVW Rush Champion Kurtis, who was appearing in TSW for the first time. Kurtis shined bright with plenty of offense throughout. However, the Ohio native Crist defended his home turf by picking up the win.

Match 5: “The Golden State Gold” Carson Drake defeated “The Fanny Pack Kid” Kal Herro via pinfall

Herro, another former OVW Rush Champion, brought his “Fanny Pack Party” to TSW for the first time in this battle against the loud, brash Drake. “The Fanny Pack Kid” was an instant hit with the Hamilton fans, showing off his variety of skills and athleticism. Unfortunately, Drake was able to back up his words and get the pinfall thanks to a low blow behind the referee’s back.

Match 6: “The Young GOAT” Myron Reed and “The Wolf of Wrestling” Stephen Wolf defeated TSW Heavyweight Champion VsK and Tre’ Lamar via pinfall

VsK surprised virtually everyone in the arena by announcing Lamar as his mystery tag team partner just before the match. Lamar himself appeared to grudgingly take the assignment, much to the chagrin of Reed after the two had seemingly put aside their grievances earlier. The contest went back and forth throughout, with Reed and Wolf regaining their chemistry as a tag team from years before and VsK and Lamar somehow finding ways to coexist, despite Tre’s reluctance to clash with Myron at various points. Near the end, VsK once again tried to use the TSW title belt to get the win, but this time Tre’ was able to halt VsK from using it and allow Myron to knock VsK down with a kick. However, that opened the door for Reed to eventually take Lamar out with his signature Flame On springboard cutter for the win.

After the match, VSK high-tailed it to the back clutching his championship, while a dejected Lamar exchanged glances with Reed before heading through the curtain as well.

Tri-State Wrestling presents EVERYBODY'S GOT A PRICE

March 11, 2023

Fitton Center for Creative Arts

Hamilton, Ohio

Match 1: Carson Drake defeated 12 Gaige via submission

The debuting 12 Gaige sparked the crowd with some aerial moves but ultimately Drake used his size advantage to wear his opponent down and win with a Million Dollar Dream.

Tri-State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion VSK entered the ring next with Eric James, showing more signs of an alliance between the two East Coast stars. The duo’s interview was cut short with the surprise return of Stephen Wolf, who was making his return for the first time since TSW’s inaugural show in February 2022. Wolf laid down a challenge to VSK for a title match and after the champion initially balked at the match, Wolf was able to talk VSK into an impromptu title contest later in the show.

Match 2: Justin Xavier defeated Sam Aljahmi via pinfall

These two up-and-comers had a back and forth match. Xavier picked up the victory after one of his signature top rope moves.

Match 3: GPA defeated Hunter Holdcraft via pinfall

This was a classic matchup of a veteran in GPA and a talented but relatively inexperienced newcomer in Holdcraft. The young Holdcraft used his mat expertise to his advantage and had GPA on his heels at times. However, the self-proclaimed “Academic Standard” had a few too many tricks up his sleeve and picked up the victory on a roll-up with some helpful leverage from the ropes.

Match 4: Matt Cross defeated Matt Diesel via pinfall

This matchup of two fan favorites was the sleeper hit of the night. Diesel stood toe to toe with the more acclaimed Cross through the match before the veteran earned the pinball win with his Open Road Cutter.

Fans were treated to the evening’s special guest with an appearance by the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. The WWE Hall of Famer spoke to the crowd about all the history of wrestling in the Cincinnati area and how much he had enjoyed meeting the fans. And, of course, he delighted the crowd with his signature “evil laugh” before taking off.

Match 5: Myron Reed defeated Tre' Lamar and Eric James via pinfall to become the new #1 contender

This 3-way match was set up to determine the #1 contender for the TSW Heavyweight Championship with a title match at the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis on April 8. All three contenders had their opportunities to earn the win with several close pin falls. In the end, Reed was able to secure the pin over Lamar and earn a shot at the title.

Match 6: Sam Beale defeated Party Mike via pinfall

Another matchup of fan favorites, Beale was able to take home the win after hitting his Perm Roller move.

Match 7: VSK(c) defeated Stephen Wolf via pinfall to retain the TSW Heavyweight Championship

The night’s main event lived up to expectations, with both men putting on a show in a 15-minute thriller. Wolf’s innovative offense was on full display, while VSK kept finding ways to regain control with his technical skill. “The Wolf of Wrestling” seemingly had the match won, but Eric James appeared suddenly from the back to distract the referee and prevent a count. While Wolf attempted to get the official to focus back in the ring, VSK was able to recover and hit a low blow before nailing his Dude Buster pile driver to earn the three count and retain his title.

After the match, VSK and James joined forces to put the boots to Wolf as the official tried to ward them off. Thankfully, the new #1 contender Myron Reed came through the curtain and into the ring to make the save. Once VSK and James retreated to the back. Reed helped Wolf to his feet, and the two men saluted the Hamilton faithful to close the show.
